RoboDrummer is a project to create a machine that can automatically play percussion instruments. Instead of triggering samples or MIDI instruments, a standard MIDI sequencing package is used to drive pneumatically actuated sticks and beaters that are attached to various instruments. The I-CubeX system is used to allow musicians to interact with Drumbots in creative ways. Sensors used include Gforce (acceleration), Touch (pressure) and Close (proximity).
