We bet there's lots to say about the TouchStrip. It's really long, for starters.
Recommended for forces from 1 N (0.1 Kg, 0.2 lb) all the way upto 98 N (10 Kg, 22 lb). Active area is a strip
of 60.9 cm (24.0 inch) length and 13 mm (0.50 inch) width.
See this videoclip for a demo ! And look, it's part of a familiy. Here are it's relatives (note that some of these sensors have a different response curve):
Application examples
- Can be easily applied to a variety of flat surfaces.
Eg. apply across your keyboard for more expressive control of your tones.
- Create a fancy control panel by combining with
SlideWide,
SlideLong,
Push2D,
TouchMiniOn and
Reach sensors, to name a few.

Connector |
male plug with 3 pins in a row spaced 2.54 mm (0.100 inch) |
Application notes |
- Sensor can be cut to desired length (width cannot be changed).
- If the sensor shows a non-zero value at rest, flatten the sensor between two flat objects
for a few days. Any bending of the sensor may result in a non-zero at-rest value. Store sensor in
flat position for best results.
