Slide v2.1 (obsolete)

Is your keyboard lacking a cool ribbon controller? Or maybe you want 5 more... Ranges upto 140 mm (5.51 inch).

If you need one with different dimensions, we have more sensors available:

See this videoclip for a demo !

Application examples

  1. Use as ribbon controller, perfect for your keyboard or DJ setup. Or check how Uwe Steger used it.
  2. Create a fancy multi-touch control surface by placing various sensors next to as well as on top of each other. Combine Push sensors (Push, Push2D), Reach sensors (Reach, ReachClose, ReachOn), Slide sensors (see above), Touch sensors (Touch, TouchMicro-3, TouchMicro-5 TouchMicro-10, TouchMini, TouchMiniOn, TouchStrip) and Turn sensors (Turn, Turn&Spin) to name a few.

Weight 15 g (0.5 oz), incl. cable
Cable 1.0 m (39 inch), shielded, red wire = power, black wire = ground, white wire = sensor output, maximum extension 30 m (98 ft)
Connector male plug with a row of 3 pins spaced 2.54 mm (0.100 inch)
Application notes
  1. Touching the sensor at both ends for an extended period of time creates a short-circuit that may result in damage to the sensor. When mounting the sensor with eg. clamps, make sure that there is no contact force on the sensitive areas at the ends.
  2. The sensor can be trimmed so that multiple units can be placed adjacently, forming a multi-touch area. Please note that modifying the sensor voids any warranty we may provide.
  3. The sensor can be stacked on top of another sensor that's rotated by an angle (eg. 90 degrees) in the same plane to create a two-dimensional touch controller.
  4. The sensor is operational while bent. Please note that since the sensor wasn't designed to be used in bent form, we can't provide durability information and guarantee the specifications. There is a limit to the bend angle, ie. if the sensor is bent too sharply the material will crease and possibly tear.
