This is the classic joystick. Use it to tweak, tweak and tweak those sounds. Performance oriented. ± 5 mm (± 0.2 inch) range, spring-loaded (ie. will return to the middle position when not touched). See this videoclip for a demo !

Application examples

  1. Make a huge joystick (see also this detail) out of it and hang it from the ceiling. See how it's used in this video.
  2. Create a fancy control panel by combining Push sensors (Push, Push3D), Reach sensors (Reach, ReachClose), Slide sensors (eg. Slide-50, Slide-200, Slide-500, SlideRound, SlideWide), Touch sensors (Touch, TouchMicro-05 TouchMicro-10, TouchMini, TouchMiniOn, TouchStrip) and Turn sensors to name a few.

  1. 09 Dec 2014: SensorX v1.00 for MacOS and Windows (64bit, contact us for the 32bit version) from source code in Max. For multiple sensors or sensor outputs, run multiple instances of the application, each started in its own folder. Use together with Connect (MacOS / Windows).

Application notes

  1. Output 1 is the X direction (left or right, if the Push2D is in front of you, with the knob facing up with the cable pointing towards you) and output 2 is the Y direction (away from you or towards you).
