The I-CubeX Wi-microDig enables you to interface sensors wirelessly to your computer anywhere in the world.
It is designed to obtain data from sensors for (scientific) measurement and analysis and/or for the control of audiovisual effects and multimedia content. With the I-CubeX Wi-microDig, translate sensor signals with high resolution into MIDI messages that are transmitted through a wireless Bluetooth connection and made available through a virtual serial (COM) port.
Then, send these messages to data analysis/display software, map them to virtual joysticks for use in gaming software, or, either using the default MIDI encoding or re-mapped as OSC messages using our software, send them to a variety of 3rd party hardware or software devices that perform sound synthesis, graphical animation, video effects, etc.. Voilá !
What you get
The I-CubeX Wi-microSystem includes a Wi-microDig analog to digital encoder with wireless Bluetooth transmitter, a cable for easy use with 9V batteries, and a 9V alkaline battery. A free Turn sensor is also included for demo and test purposes. LiveSupport-1 is included in case you need live help to get started.
A variety of software is available from our website to apply the Wi-microSystem in your project - please check the Wi-microDig page, and browse our resource page for more solutions. Here's how to get started.
Please note
Please note that to configure and use the Wi-microDig, you will need a Bluetooth interface for your computer that uses the WIDCOMM or Microsoft stack (Bluesoleil is not supported). To get the maximum range of 400 m you will need a class 1 Bluetooth interface. The BluetoothAdapter has both these features. Want to use the power grid instead of batteries ? Use the Wi-microGlobalAdapter.
For a BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) version, see the WiSystem. For a thumb-sized, faster and USB-cabled version (no MIDI interface needed) with actuator outputs, check out the WiSystem or the USB-microSystem, that, together with the USB-microMIDICable can also send MIDI messages directly to your MIDI gear.
For more inputs and resolution, as well as actuator outputs,
check out the System.
