Specific sensor question! *help!

Hi!

I was hoping to have your help here

I?m looking for a sensor that can create a non-visible beam that can report
when the beam have been interrupted, something like those that we?re used to
see action movies hero?s deal with when trying to penetrate in safes and
alike, like a lazer beam or so...

Are there any sensor that can do this?

You should try to find some infrared sensors, like the ones they use in
some shops where a bell goes off when you enter the store.. I'm sure
Farnell.com has some..(this means you have to do some assembly though)
I'm not sure if Infusionsytems sells these kind of sensors, did you
check the site?
