Hi Mathieu The I-cubeX family of digitizers all support 5V and 30mA per sensor, so this one wouldn't work. You would need to design a circuit to go in between the output of your IR sensor and the input of the digitizer to reduce the voltage seen by the digitizer. Also, you would need to power your u...

An error message indicating a firmware issue for a (wi)miniDig or (wi)microDig indicates that you are using the wrong software version. The firmware on either of these devices does not need to be changed.

No problem that I know of. I usually start with a "0 reset" and then "0 hostmode" message, followed by "1 connect 1" "1 on" and then "0 interval 5"

Do you have the latest version of the objects? (included in v2.55a)

Since the i-Cube commincates with software through MIDI messages, you need to find some way to have Flash receive MIDI. After a search for flash and midi, I came across this:

http://www.alexisisaac.net/products/flashMidi/

Unfortunately, it's windows only, but it appears to accept MIDI input. Apparently, the author is working on a Mac version. Most of the other ones I found only allow you to send MIDI messages from Flash.

As for interfacing with MIDI in director, there is an extension called xMIDI:

Hi First off, does each object play a different sound? in that case, youd need to able to differentiate between people standing in front of one versus another. There are several ways to do this. If the objects are all in a line, then you can use a long distance ultrasound sensor, such as the FarReac...

Hi One way would be to use a FarReach sensor, and then program the video program so that it plays different movies for different incoming MIDI messages. This would require the video player have some level of programmability, and able to receive MIDI messages. You could use Jitter, or Director with a...

MIDI to serial/RS232

Hi, The miniDig can only send it's MIDI messages to a device equipped with a MIDI port. To transfer data from MIDI to a serial port you could use a computer with a software such as Max/MSP. This would enable you to trigger events at the serial port (using Max's serial object) according to received M...

Using 2 ocube objects in Max

Hi, Here are two ways to use 2 ocube objects: First way is to have a multiple port MIDI interface. You connect the dig1 to portA and dig2 to portB. Then make a patch in Max with one ocube that connects to the midiout object. Use a second ocube object and a second midiout object. Lock the patch and s...
