Re: Momentary switches and Ableton
This could be done by using the peak function in the editor. I've copied the following from the manual: Peak/Dip check box: When checked, peak/dip detection is active. By default the processing algorithm looks for a peak - if Invert is checked the algorithm looks for a dip in the sensor signal. When...

Re: Pure Data & I-CubeX? (... & the Museum of Lost Interactions)
You can use Pd with the built-in MIDI objects. You would need to put the I-CubeX in standalone mode, and then turn on the appropriate sensors with the editor. There still doesn't seem to be a working ., which would allow one to change configuration from within Pd, but that may show up eventually.

Re: The problem
Hi there Jim
Are you plugging the seelasers properly, ie with the red wire on top? connecting them backwards can cause damage to them.
As for the reach, what kind of output are you getting?

Hi dmeller
Has anything changed in the connection of the device? How exactly is it connected? Strange that you should be getting negative voltages unless you have your power supply connections reversed.

Re: how raw is the data + device w.out I-CubeX software

Can I use the Wi-microDig to send data/signals to a device that does not have I-CubeX software installed on it? Can I setup the Wi-microDig with a computer with the proper I-CubeX software and then in stand-alone mode send messages/data to a device which is not the same computer, but a different device with proper Bluetooth capabilities.

This would be possible in either mode with a device that implements the serial port profile (SPP). You would still need to parse the MIDI data as described in the manual, and likewise send commands in the format outlined. The following max patch implements this using the serial object, and may be of use.

Re: Midi Mapping problems
As far as I know there's no way to do this from the editor, but you can use either control change or pitchbend messages to approximate this function. Within your MIDI receiving software, adjust the pitchbend to the number of steps you want to span.

Can you give more info on how you are using it? For instance, what sensor(s)? How are you using the data?

Re: max external plug-ins for intel
We are working on updating the objects to work with intel-macs. For now there are two options:
1) Use the Digitizer in standalone mode along with the built-in MIDI objects just as ctlin, bendin, notein, etc.
2) We've made hostmode patches for the wi-microDig/microDig/Digitzer(8 channels) which can be found here:
http://icubex.com/download/
Click on "max patches"
The software team is currently putting the finishing touches on v3.15 of the editor for Windows and v3.05 for OS X, and right after that they will move on to updating the objects.
