Midi Mapping problems

I was wondering if anyone knows how to configure the settings in the editor so that the values sent by the i-CubeX represents the changing Midi Note-On messages and not the velocity.
I am using a ReachClose sensor and am trying to map a proximity data to varying pitch.

As far as I know there's no way to do this from the editor, but you can use either control change or pitchbend messages to approximate this function. Within your MIDI receiving software, adjust the pitchbend to the number of steps you want to span.
