Problems using the Editor with Mac OS X 10.4

I seem to be having trouble using the latest version of the editor (v. 3.21) with Mac OS X 10.4.11 and the USB-microDig.
I have just updated Java and have tried both the "USB-microDig drivers v1.02.2" and the "newer generic USB-microDig drivers".

Since Tech. Support only seems to have OS X 10.5 available for testing, I am wondering if anyone reading this has managed to use this version of the editor with OS X 10.4.11
and the USB-microDig.

I am also having problems using the USB microdig with Mac OS X 10.4.11 (Java release 7 update) with USB microDig v1.02.2 & the newer generic drivers:

I've tried using editor version 2.52 but it can't see the microdig.
Editor 3.21 starts up but does not function properly offering no connection options.

Has anyone found a solution to this?
