For correct operation of your I-CubeX setup, please make sure your digitizer's identifying numbers are correctly stored in the digitizer. Use our ResetDig utility to restore these numbers as per the label.
The numbers are shown on the label on the bottom of the digitizer, see the blue-marked areas in the picture at the bottom left (click to enlarge).
In the ResetDig software these numbers can be changed by connecting to the digitizer (make sure to disconnect the digitizer from any other software if connecting via the digitizer's serial port), and (see ResetDig screenshot below) clicking "get" to see the currently stored numbers, changing the numbers as needed, and then clicking "set".
The first 2 digits on the left of the label identify the version of the firmware running on your digitizer. If the firmware was updated this number will be different on the label than what will be shown in our software. In our Connect software, you can find this number in the top right of the digitizer view window, shown as a 4-digit number (the last two digits are not printed on the label). See the two Connect screenshots at the bottom right (click to enlarge).
The next two sets of two digits (4 digits in total) on the label identify the hardware version of your digitizer for digitizers with hardware versions lower than 8000. For digitizers with hardware versions starting at 8000 (shown on the label as "80-00") such as the WiDig the second set of two digits identifies another firmware that runs on a second microcontroller. The hardware version shown in our software must correspond to the numbers shown on the label or the software will not work correctly or may not make the correct features available. In our Connect software, you can find this number in the top middle of the digitizer view window next to the digitizer name, shown as a 4-digit number. See the two Connect screenshots at the bottom right (click to enlarge).
The last four digits on the label are the serial number of your digitizer. This number helps us determine when the digitizer was manufactured. In our Connect software, you can find this number in the name of the digitizer listing at the top left of the digitizer view window. See the two pictures at the bottom right (click to enlarge).
