The handling of Bluetooth pairing on MacOS is different from Windows. On recent MacOS versions it is not necessary to provide a PIN to connect with a Wi-microDig (even if the Wi-microDig is configured to accommodate PIN requests), and this makes the connection process faster and more reliable. On Windows a PIN is not necessary when setting up the device but, for no reason, must always be provided when reconnecting with the device. To match this difference, firmware v6.40 is made available as version 6.400 (no PIN is required) for MacOS, uploadable via our Connect for MacOS software, and a version for Windows as version 6.401 (PIN is required), uploadable via our FirmwareX for Windows software. Using firmware v6.401 will allow connection with MacOS as well but it will be less reliable and slower than using firmware v6.400.

Bluetooth Pairing Code

Using firmware v6.401 will allow connection with MacOS as well but it will be less reliable and slower (the connection may fail multiple times before it's successful) than using firmware v6.400.
