The WiDig is a digitizer, capturing sensor signals and outputting the sensor data via USB and either WiFi or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The WiDig can also control actuators. Communication with a computer or mobile device via WiFi uses the Open Sound Control (OSC) data protocol while via BLE the Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) data protocol is used. Communication via a USB virtual serial port uses the MIDI data protocol.
