The MIDI Monitor window is opened after clicking the View button and displays the MIDI data values sent by the selected sensor input of the digitizer. Multiple MIDI monitor windows can be open at the same time, allowing for all sensor data to be monitored.

Analog Sensors

If the sensor input is connected to an analog sensor, it will output a single type of MIDI message, which is shown in data display, as a graph as well as a number.

Digital Sensors

If the sensor input is connected to a digital sensor, it may output multiple types of MIDI messages, (eg. note-on messages with note numbers 64-66 and each sensor value represented as velocity), which are each shown in a separate data display, as a graph as well as a number.

Key Pressure

If the sensor input is configured to process values continuously as well as detect peaks or dips and their ending, the peak or dip and their ending are sent in the form of the MIDI message selected in the sensor input section but additional MIDI key-pressure messages are sent to transmit the sensor value after the peak or dip is detected and until their end is detected. Both types of MIDI messages are shown in the display.

Misc

If no values appear in the data display, check the sensor input configuration, as its settings may prohibit the digitizer from outputting any values.

Hovering the mouse over the data display will show the MIDI messages that are being used to transmit the sensor values.

The "C" button on the left of the section clears the data display(s).
