The Options section sets the sample interval, mode of operation and muting.

The sampling interval can be set between a minimum and a maximum value, in milliseconds. The minimum value is 1 ms for all digitizers except the Digitizer, which has a 4 ms minimum. The maximum value is 16383 ms, ie. about 16 seconds. Setting the sampling interval to its minimum may result in a delayed response of EditorX or whichever software or device that is receiving the MIDI messages as it may be overwhelmed by the number of MIDI messages. It is often not useful to set the sampling interval to its minimum given that many sensors don't update as frequently as the sampling interval. The sampling rate in Hertz (Hz) can be derived from the sampling interval using the formula 1000 / sampling_interval.

The mode of operation can be set as standalone or host. EditorX sets a digitizer to standalone mode immediately after establishing a connection with a digitizer since EditorX can only configure the standalone mode settings of a digitizer.

Muting can be set to on or off, and configures the digitizer to stop sampling of all sensor inputs so that no data is output by the digitizer.
