This upper level course will explore means
of incorporating interactive electronics into live
performance settings. Using several common, real-time
sound programming languages (specifically Max, Csound and
Kyma), students will learn how to employ electronic
resources in a concert performance. The programming
methods learned in class will also provide students with
additional resources for sound design and composition in
a non-real-time environment. Students will be required to
prepare and present completed compositions in concert.
This class will be open to music technology majors only
and will have several prerequisites.
