This course is an intensive general introduction to the
theory, principles and practice of interactive
technologies. This course will provide an overview of
leading theories of interface design as well as the
opportunity to work with interactive equipment to produce
an interactive work of your own. We will seek to create
an intensive, highly collaborative, workshop environment.
Hands-on work will be supplemented by occasional lectures
and special presentations on topics of interest to
attendees. These will include (but are not limited to)
art, communications, architecture, philosophy, robotics,
privacy, electronic publication, MUDâs and
MOOâs, local and distributed hypertext, changes in
print and other non-digital media.
