We've been working with MAX/Nato software since 2001,
producing generative art. We're exploring the
relationship between man-machine as well as between
machine and itself. Endless non-repetitive patterns
evolve, creating new visual forms and sounds.
We are developing a random audio-video
interactive installation based on patterns generated by
software and the movement of people around it. We are
using infra-red sensors to map the position of the
audience connected to an I-CubeX Digitizer and are using
this data to interact with the video and the sound.
Software algorithms are receiving audio frequency data in
realtime and we are using it to distort/rearrange the
video.
The installation will be placed into a the
lobby of a business building, using the office's access
path as a generative art development process part.
Below are the patches in development and an
excerpt of the audio generated.
