My aim was to do something with (literally)
moving sounds.
The installation consisted of 2 radio controlled toy cars, with each a mounted speaker
and 2 Light sensors, 1 Micro Modular synthesizer and an
amplifier.
I created a stereo patch sounding like kids
laughter. The left channel output was sent to speaker car
1, the right channel to speaker car 2.
A visitor at the exposition could drive the cars (with
an RF controller) and thus 'control' the sound. The Light
sensors picked up changes as the cars moved around, and
their signals control the speed and frequency of the
laughter.
