This installation involves two computer
controlled rocking chairs, that are instrumented with
I-CubeX Tilt sensors. Two actors sit opposite each other
on the chairs. The movements of each chair add angles to
the movements of its opponent. The strange
interdependence of the actors and objects leads to
moments of instability and uncertainty, which are only
diminished by increasing interaction, thus turning it
into a positive experience. The bodies find their own
rhythm with the rocking chairs. A surprising new physical
feeling develops, a feeling of togetherness linked with
the experience of embarking and letting go.
