This installation of the GRID consists of a deep water font, studded with a series of Light sensors, set as threshold triggers for MIDI note on and pitch bend messages through the I-CubeX interface system. Shining down upon the font interface is an LCD projector connected to a PC running Scott Draves' BOMB cellular automata program which is tied to the output of the GRID audio component. In so doing, the BOMB creates basic seed information for the GRID generative sound engine, but users will get far more expressive responses once they interact with the installation.
